There is nothing better than a Swiss winter getaway, surrounded by breathtaking landscapes, fresh mountain air, and endless outdoor adventures. Whether you are looking for action on the slopes or a peaceful hike through snowy trails, the Swiss Alps have something for everyone.

If it were up to me, I would spend every weekend in the mountains - and I am sure many of you feel the same way! So, here is an idea for a two-day winter escape, combining skiing (Day 1) and a winter hike (Day 2) with an overnight stay in the mountains. And even if your companion is not a mountain enthusiast, I promise they will enjoy every moment!

Our weekend itinerary

Day 1: Skiing at Meiringen-Hasliberg

We arrived around 10:30 AM by car and parked at Twing Gondola Station. From there, we took the gondola up and spent the entire day skiing across the resort. After an active day on the slopes, we headed to our hotel to check in and later enjoyed a relaxed pizza night.

Day 2: A Relaxed one-hour winter hike

In the morning, we had a buffet breakfast at the hotel before checking out. We then parked again at Twing Gondola Station to set off on an easy one-hour winter hike, making the most of the fresh snow and peaceful surroundings before heading back home.

About Hasliberg
